¥ The knowledge and skills required for the project, were unrelated to my job experience and seemed to emerge in an almost mystical way from my subconscious. When I started the project, shortly after my retirement, I was very conscious of the fact that in some uncanny way, I ÒknewÓ what tools and equipment I needed to set up my workshop. I ÒknewÓ how to translate the pictures into working plans, I ÒknewÓ how to use the machines, how to solve the engineering problems, how to make the jigs and fixtures.
